WHAT IS IT?
This is a consignment sale that we hold each year for our customers who are looking to purchase or sell pre-owned equipment and clothing. Whether you are trying to outfit your entire family or replace the gear that your children have outgrown, this consignment sale is an excellent way to get gear at an affordable price.
*Select new clothing, equipment, and accessories will be on sale in both stores.
HOW THE SKI SWAP WORKS
1. BRING US YOUR GEAR
Drop off your clean, gently used ski and snowboard equipment and clothing at either Ski Bum location beginning October 1st.
2. WE SELL IT FOR YOU
We'll price and display your gear during our Ski & Snowboard Swap.
3. YOU GET 90% STORE CREDIT
When your item sells, you receive 90% of the selling price in Ski Bum store credit.
4. USE YOUR CREDIT FOR NEW GEAR
Use your store credit toward skis, snowboards, boots, clothing, accessories and more at The Ski Bum.
Example:
Your gear sells for $200 → you receive $180 in Ski Bum store credit.
WHEN DO I DROP OFF MY STUFF TO SELL?
Drop off your gear starting October 1st.
*Please note will not be taking items for re-sale during the sale days, you must drop it offer before.

SELLER DROP-OFF BEGINS OCTOBER 1ST
Bring your items to either Ski Bum location during regular store hours.
No resale items will be accepted for the first time during the sale weekends.
WHAT CAN BE SOLD?
Skis, Snowboards, Boots, Bindings & Clothing. The Ski Bum will not accept baselayers, socks, helmets, goggles, damaged merchandise, dirty clothing, or equipment that is deemed unsafe or unacceptable to The Ski Bum's standards for resale. Our knowledgeable staff will do their best to find your equipment a new home.
WHAT CAN I SELL?
We accept clean, safe, usable ski and snowboard equipment and winter clothing, including:
- Skis
- Snowboards
- Ski Boots
- Snowboard Boots
- Bindings
- Ski & Snowboard Clothing
- Jackets
- Pants
- Other winter equipment and accessories
We inspect all items before accepting them for resale.
RESTRICTIONS:
Items that will not be accepted for consignment: Base Layers, socks, helmets, goggles, ski boots with worn-out soles, and skis with bindings that are no longer to industry standards. Also, all clothing must be freshly laundered and free of excessive wear, tears, stains, rips, and all zippers must be in working order. The Ski Bum reserves the right to deny any item from being entered into the consignment sale.
PLEASE DON'T BRING THESE ITEMS
To keep the swap safe and worthwhile for everyone, we cannot accept:
- Helmets
- Goggles
- Socks
- Base layers
- Dirty clothing
- Clothing with excessive wear, stains, tears or rips
- Clothing with broken zippers
- Damaged or unsafe equipment
- Ski boots with worn-out soles
- Skis with bindings that no longer meet current industry standards
If we wouldn't sell it in our store, we probably won't accept it for the swap.
BUYERS:
We only accept cash for pre-owned merchandise. A credit card can be used to purchase new merchandise; however, a 5% processing fee will be added to the total purchase amount. Customer rewards points, coupons, store credits, or gift cards cannot be used for merchandise purchased outside of this event.

The Ski & Snowboard Swap is a great opportunity to find pre-owned skis, snowboards, boots, bindings and clothing at prices that can help get the whole family ready for winter.
We'll also have select new clothing, equipment and accessories on sale at both Ski Bum locations during the event.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Pre-owned swap merchandise: Cash only
New merchandise: Credit cards accepted with a 5% processing fee.
Customer rewards points, coupons, store credits and gift cards cannot be used toward pre-owned swap merchandise.
SELLERS:
For merchandise that sells, you will receive 90% of the selling price as a store credit.

Drop-off begins October 1st at either Ski Bum location.
The sooner you drop off your gear, the sooner it can be ready for customers to shop.
PICK UP:
Please return between Tuesday, November 10th, and Sunday, November 15th, during regular store hours to collect your store credit and/or any unsold merchandise.
The Ski Bum will donate or discard items not picked up by the close of business on Sunday, November 16th.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY GEAR DOESN'T SELL?
Any unsold merchandise and your store credit will be available for pickup November 10–15 during regular store hours.
Pickup deadline: Sunday, November 15.
Please make arrangements to pick up any unsold merchandise by the deadline.

When can I drop off my gear?
Seller drop-off begins October 1st. Bring your items to either Ski Bum location during regular store hours.
How much do I get if my gear sells?
You receive 90% of the selling price in Ski Bum store credit.
Can I get cash for my items?
No. Seller proceeds are issued as Ski Bum store credit.
Can I bring my helmet or goggles?
No. We do not accept helmets, goggles, socks or base layers for resale.
Can I bring my gear during the swap?
No. All resale items must be dropped off before the sale weekends.
Can I drop off at either Ski Bum location?
Yes. You can drop off your gear at either our Newark, DE or Glen Mills, PA location.
What happens to gear that doesn't sell?
Unsold merchandise will be available for pickup November 10–15.
Can I use coupons or rewards points to buy swap merchandise?
No. Coupons, rewards points, store credits and gift cards cannot be used toward pre-owned swap merchandise.
